 Green programs = lives 💚

Hello, as we all know our planet needs our help, and i started to reflect when was the last time since the pandemic that i traveled to help the environment? with COVID-19 they restricted my entry to some countries so i stayed at home, in Mexico, and while reading a book in my living room i noticed an old magazine that i used as decoration for my living room, the magazine is about destinations in Mexico, so i thought why not take a trip to Mexico? i don't need much.

I contacte friends and co-workers to look for programs in Mexico and we found one that we fell in love with. The name of the program is "Committed to the environment and Green Beauty" by Garnier.

 

This program is in Mexico City, and some states of the republic. the weather is usually very varied, it literally depends on the area of the country where you are, however, in the states where I was it was sunny, cloudy, rainy, breezy, there was a lot of variety! as I mentioned, I am still collaborating with "Committed to the environment and Green Beauty" of Garnier that seeks a sustainable commitment in 5 areas.

 

1. More solidarity sourcing

We empowered 670 communities as part of our solidarity sourcing programs. By 2025, 800 communities will be included.

2. More eco-friendly formulas and Green Science

In 2019, our new shampoos and hair care formulas achieved an average of 91% biodegradability*. By 2025, we will create new eco-friendly, high-performance hair and skin formulas, powered by Green Sciences.

3. More recycled, recyclable packaging

In 2019, thanks to the use of recycled plastic, we saved 3670 tons of first-use plastic. By the end of 2020, Fructis bottles will be 100% recycled plastic, in Europe and the USA. By 2025, our products will be made from 100% recycled plastic and will be 100% recyclable or reusable.

4. More renewable energy

Since 2005, our plants and distribution centers have reduced water consumption by 45% and CO2 emissions by 72%. By 2025, 100% of our industrial plants will be carbon neutral.

5. More action to combat plastic pollution

We joined the Ocean Conservancy to combat plastic pollution, mobilizing 373 employees on International Coastal Cleanup Day in 2019.

 

So, in summary what I did was:

1. I have helped organize communities.

2. I have part of the experience in creating new environmentally friendly products.

3. I have created my own campaign to recycle plastic in my city that has been successful so far.

4. I have helped in the research of new energies with knowledge acquired in other countries.

5. I have participated as a volunteer for a month to clean up the ocean.

 

And soon I have other activities planned such as:

 

1. I am going to create artificial reefs with artificial intelligence for better adaptation.

2. I am going to invest in the brand and campaign for new activities.

3. My sisters and I are going to work together with our different careers to create a new project (architecture, business administration and sustainable human resources, sustainable marketing and mine is not defined yet hahaha).
